The Universal Waite Tarot Card Deck is a re-colored version of the Rider-Waite-Smith Tarot card deck. The images have been colored by none other than Mary Hanson-Roberts, who has also created the Hanson-Roberts Tarot card deck. After reading with the Rider-Waite-Smith for a few years, I switched over to the Universal Waite deck and I have never looked back! This deck took my studies of the Rider-Waite-Smith Tarot to a new level. This deck has now become my go-to deck for all my professional and personal Tarot Card Readings.

Tarot cards often tend to ‘behave’ like us human beings – in that, that they get tired. It is not a mysterious thing. Many of us may have experienced this from time to time: as and when the cards become tired, they tend to give sluggish readings or readings that make no sense at all. Sometimes, such tired cards also end up tiring the reader and making the process of reading the cards an arduous task.
This is the perfect time to charge ’em! Charging them is like recharging their batteries – and what an effect such a charging process has on these cards! Suddenly, they are more sensible and are easy to read with.

The Sun and Moon Tarot card deck is created by the artist Vanessa Decort. This deck has images that seem like they are drawn for stories and imaginative journeys, and is really an awesome and beautiful deck. Although I am personally a big fan of Rider-Waite-Smith styled decks, I found myself liking the imagery on this deck because I felt as if these images were pretty familiar to me!

Meanings for the Tarot cards are often derived from the pictures on the cards. Understanding of these pictures depends upon your understanding of the picture by itself, and of the different symbols (if any) present within the image. Many a times, all these things interact with each other to bring about the meaning of a card. Thus, it is evident that the meanings of these Tarot cards are also largely based on our perception of the image.
