Myths are among the first stories ever told. And it is through these legends and tales that we meet our first Archetypes.

Several images from the Tarot Cards are linked with Ancient Myths across the board. Here, you’ll find Egyptian Mythology blending with Greek Mythology, Roman Mythology, and of course, the Judeo-Christian Mythology.

The Tarot as we know it today developed in the Western part of the World, which explains why these myths dominate the imagery. However, as the interest in the Tarot grows, we also find imagery from many other denominations showing up in the card imagery.
